Minnesota Timberwolves'Al Jefferson (25) scores two of his 39 points with this first-quarter dunk in an NBA basketball game Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, in Minneapolis. Jefferson led the Timberwolves in scoring as they beat the Phoenix Suns,117-107. Who is Al Jefferson you ask:  Simple! 

First, he was a 1st round (15th pick) by the Boston Celtics in 2004.  He was traded to Minnesota as part of the Kevin Garnett trade.  Last season, he averaged close to 33 minutes game, 16 points and 11 boards.  Jefferson is scoring 20 points and 12 boards a game. 

He is 6-10, 256 lb forward/center - would look great in a Suns uniform.  On Wednesday evening, Big Al man-handled Amare Stoudemire.

Jefferson attended Prentiss High School in Prentiss, Mississippi. As a senior, he was a 2004 McDonald’s All-American selection, and was a finalist for the Naismith Award, after he averaged 42 points, 16 rebounds and 9 blocks per game during the season. He committed to the University of Arkansas, but decided to forego college for the NBA Draft.

He had a career-high 39 points and 15 rebounds, eight offensive, and the Timberwolves won two in a row for the first time this season, 117-107 over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
