NOBODY has ever doubted the heart and soul of Anquan Boldin on the football field. He is by FAR, a young man that can inspire and motivate a team by his actions on the field.
But his current actions off the field, of talking out loud to the media about his contract situation is less to be desired.
Whatever happened to the pro athlete that was happy to be a part of a pro team, and showed constant humilty to the game, his teammates, and most of all the fans.
Kurt Warner is by far, the most classy and humble STAR athlete I have come across in many years. He has set a standard of professionalism on and off the football field, that all pro athletes, including Anquan Boldin need to emulate.
How much strife can Anquan Boldin have making four million dollars a year?
We all want fair market value for our wares in life. But playing it out in the media, ala Brett Farve, is not going to help the situation along. It creates a line, or in Anquans case, a ditch in the sand with the Cardinals organization.
Kurt Warner also wants his FAIR share as well, but he is handling it with class and integrity. His most most recent comments on his contract extension came in typical Kurt Warner fashion, and I paraphrase, that he is hoping it will all get worked out, and be paid a starters salary if he takes over the reins for Matt Leinart at anytime during the season.
Kurt Warner has ALWAYS taken the high road, handled all situations, good and bad, with integrity, mixed in with a HUGE dose of humilty. Less we forget, he was the NFL League MVP/ two time Super Bowl QB, that was demoted to backing up an unproven QB in Matt Leinart, after having a great 2007 season.
Hey Anquan, go talk to Kurt Warner about what’s fair and who should be making HIS FaIR SHARE as a QB in the NFL.
By the way, this past week, in most states, the minimum wage increase of sixty cents an hour to $6.50 was shot down. I think the lowly price of FOUR MILLION dollars per year that you will be making over the next 3 years, should hold you over for now.
Also, good luck trying to qualify for a loan these days!!
