It seems that the damage to the Dennis Dome caused by Hurricane Wilbur doesn’t seem to be as bad as originaly thought to be. Saturday night Mark Brand, Associate AD in charge of Communications at ASU, stated that the cost to repair the bubble was much less than originaly presumed to be and that the bubble may be up and functional by the end of the season. The damage to the Bubble was limited to the cloth roof that covered the practice facility. When originally built it was thought that the bubble could withstand 70 MPH winds. Due to a power outage that knocked out the generators used to keep the bubble inflated the bubble started to deflate and flying debris slashed the bubble into shreds. The bubble cost $8.4 million dollars, with the bulk of the cost going into the field turf and the concrete foundation.  This news came on the heels of the Devils first win over the season, as they defeated NAU 30-13 at the House of Heat.
