- The Desert Dogs beat the tough at home Calgary Flames on Tuesday night 4-2, and then lost to the Vancouver Canucks 1-0. Both games showing exceptional prowess on the defensive side.

- The LA Dodgers officially offered the star slugger a reported 2 year contract for 50 million dollars or a 3 year contract for 75 million dollars. Either way the contract offered would average 25 million dollars a year.
5. Raiders shockingly cut ties with DeAngelo Hall.
- Raiders Owner and GM Al Davis made another move to show how out of the game he really is by cutting ties with one of the highest paid CB’s in the league by releasing Hall. Hall has reportedly signed a one year deal with the Redskins.
4. Tennessee Coach Fulmer steps down after lengthy tenure.
- Fulmer, tearing up several different times and with many of his players openly glaring at Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton, made it clear that it wasn’t his decision to step aside after 17 seasons at his Alma Mater.
 3. AI heads to Detroit, Billups heads to Denver
- The Pistons and Nuggets on Monday finalized a trade — which was initially discussed during the summer, sources close to the process told ESPN.com — that brings guard Allen Iverson to Detroit and sends Pistons mainstays Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess to Denver.
