D’Antoni Watch Game #1 Knicks Sprint Past Heat 120-115

Mike D’Antoni had a very exciting start to his new coaching job.  Not only did the Knicks win and score 120 points, but D’Antoni drummed up some controversy.  Coach made a point by not playing Eddy Curry and Stephon Marbury.  I love the idea and I think he can get away with not playing the fat guy, but if Marbury is on the team he should have the role that Mardy Collins filled last night.  Steph and Collins are not even close, play Starbury in Mardy’s role, 10-15 minutes a night off the bench.  He is going to be a good soldier because he is in the last year of his contract. 

Phoenix Suns fans your going to faint…Mike D’Antoni used more than eight players.  The New York Knicks played ten players, including a couple of young guys that they are trying to develop.  He showed more flexibility with this young team that is trying to improve than he did with the Suns as they were battling it out for playoff position.  This showed me he thought a lot of home court advantage in the rugged Western Conference playoffs.
