Oct 31

Friday 10-31 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

HOUR 1

Roc was out on business and Jim Grieshaber filled in.

Steve Savard the PBP voice of the St. Louis Rams checked in with the guys. Steve told us that Jim Haslett has a very commanding presence, Haslett and Bulger have a very good working relationship, and the return of Leonard Little had a big impact on the defense.

The Suns dropped their home opener to the New Orleans Hornets. The Suns played very sloppy and Jim does not think Shaq has anything left.

HOUR 2

Former New York Giants Head Coach and color commentator for the Westwood 1 Sunday Night Football Game Jim Fassel checked in. In 2002 Coach Fassel took over the play calling duties for Sean Payton and the Giants turned their season around, advancing to the playoffs. This year Wade Phillips took over the defensive play calling for the Dallas Cowboys.  Coach Fassel discussed the dynamics of the decision by Phillips. He previewed this week’s Sunday Night Game, Colts-Pats. Jim believes the Colts passing offense is out of sync due to the lack of a running game.

We heard our Sounds from Around the NFL. This week we featured Kevin Mawae, Tom Coughlin, Eric Mangini, and Bill Belichek.

Hour 3

In the third hour Jim and Manuch previewed the Cardinals-Rams game. Manuch thinks this would be a good game for the Redbirds to get the running game going.
