Friday 10/10 Edition of Roc and Manuch

“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”

Hour 1

The Cowboys and Cardinals rivalry is renewed this Sunday.  The two teams used to meet twice a year when they were both in the NFC East, now they meet once every four.  Brad Sham, Cowboys PBP announcer checked in with Roc and Manuch.  Brad did not agree with Roc and he thinks Romo is going to need to cut out some of his mistakes if he wants to lead the Boys to the promised land.

We heard sounds from around the NFL to preview week 6.  Tom Cables, new Raiders head coached talked about the Raiders needing the bye week, John Fox said the Panthers 4-1 record is meaningless, LT thinks the Patriots game is a must win game, and Terrell Suggs is not scared of Peyton Manning’s pre snap calls.

Hour 2

USC Linebacker Clay Matthews Jr. found a couple minutes for Roc and Manuch.  Clay told us about his family and how he has respected the Arizona State’s offense.  Following the interview R&M gave their thoughts on the ASU-USC game.

We had the Roc and Manuch Fantasy Football Challenge.  This week’s position was quarterbacks.  The QB’s chosen were JaMarcus Russell, Gus Frerotte (what the hell is Manuch thinking), Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, Drew Brees, and Eli Manning.  The winner will be announced Tuesday after the Monday Night Football game.

Hour 3

Football handicapper Scott Spritzer joined Roc and Manuch for his weekly segment.  This week in college he liked Texas, LSU, and he would not touch ASU-USC with a ten foot pole due to the ever-changing quarterback situation.  In the NFL Scott was a big fan of the Arizona Cardinals getting five and a half.

Roc and Manuch gave their Locks of the Week.  Roc liked Northwestern, Utah, New England, and Seattle.  Manuch is going with Illinois, Georgia, New Orleans, and Vikings.  “Hank” coming off his 4-0 week selected Notre Dame, Buffalo, Jets, and Green Bay.
