Friday 8/1/2008 Edition of Roc and Manuch
“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”
R&M welcome August with a story that headlined the end of July; the Brett Favre watch. Reports are out that Favre is considering taking the $20 million that the Packers are offering him to stay retired. This situation has become absurd and stupid.
NFL two-a-days continued into the AFC West. Today we were joined by Kansas City Chiefs beat writer Doug Tucker and San Diego Chargers beat writer Bernie Wilson who each discussed the latest from the respective teams that they cover.
At 3:45 R&M debuted the cigar segment with Brad Berko. The guys schmoozed about numerous different cigars plus the new “Roc and Manuch” cigar.
Hour 2
Up next was the Jam Session with Jamal Anderson. Jamal went over the latest with the Packers and Favre and Steve Smith beating up Ken Lucas.
Dodger color commentator Steve Lyons joined Roc and Manuch to talk about the huge Diamondbacks-Dodgers series. Of course the guys hit heavily on the newest LA Dodger Manny Ramirez.
Bob Kemp joined us live from Cardinals camp. Kemp gave us the latest on the multiple injuries on the offensive line.
Hour 3
In the last hour we heard from Manny Ramirez who had his introductory press conference today. He is excited to be in LA and does not even want to talk about his time in Boston.
Next Week:
*We rap up the Diamondbacks-Dodgers series
*Continue our NFL Two-a-Days
*Preview the Cardinals-Saints Preseason game
