Monday 1-5 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

HOUR 1

Kevin McCabe is filling in for Roc once again.

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 to move to the Divisional Playoff Round. McCabe thought they key for the Cards was that they were only down three points going into the half even though the Falcons dominated the time of possession in the first two quarters. Manuch felt that Matt Ryan was nervous and too excited because he was missing throws high.

The Fiesta Bowl featuring Ohio State-Texas is tonight in Glendale. Marty Bannister, the Ohio State Sideline reporter for the Buckeye Radio network checked in with the guys and he feels that all of the pressure in this game is on Texas and not on Ohio State. The Buckeyes offensive line and Terrelle Pryor all need to have big games if they are going to pull the upset.

HOUR 2

To start the second hour Craig Fouhy checked in with the M&M boys for a little Fact or Fouhy. This week’s Facts were Edgerrin James will get 20 carries against the Falcons, Anquan Boldin needs to play if they are going to win East of the Mississippi, and the Cardinals will defeat the Carolina Panthers.

McCabe and Manuch gave their good, bad, and ugly from the weekend. The good included Arizona Cardinals D stopping Michael Turner and the Redbirds 14 play drive in the 3rd Q featuring Edgerrin James. The bad was the NFL’s Overtime rules, the Sun Devil’s Men’s Basketball team losing to Cal, the Wildcats starting off 0-2 in the Pac 10, and Chad Pennington throwing four picks. The ugly was Alabama’s pathetic performance in the Sugar Bowl.

McCabe caught up with offensive lineman Reggie Wells in the locker room after the game. The guys talked about the great play of the offensive line, especially containing pass rush specialist John Abraham.

Hour 3

The Arizona Cardinals offensive line helped Edgerrin James rush for 73 yards on 16 carries. The starting center and former Texas Longhorns came on the show live from the Fiesta Bowl. Sendlein is not happy with just beating the Falcons and wants to go out and play well next Saturday against the Panthers. The defense set the tone in the second half with the Antrel Rolle TD and the Cardinals wanted to keep the Falcons offense off the field by moving the chains.
