Monday 11-24 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

HOUR 1

The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants 37-29 in Glendale. Manuch thought Eli Manning played very well and thought it was very obvious that the Cardinals do not have the ability to win games when making crucial mistakes. Roc said the game played out exactly how he expected. He is happy they have a quick turnaround and can get their mind on the Eagles.

Bob McManaman from the Arizona Republic thinks the Jets are clicking at the right time. With their remaining schedule he sees the Green and White heading into the playoffs at 13-3. According to Bob the worst team in the NFL is the Herman Edwards led Kansas City Chiefs, even though the Panthers lost to the Falcons he will not write them off, and the Titans are better off that they have lost a game. On the local front Bob thought the Cards held their own and were victimized by their own mistakes.

HOUR 2

To start the second hour ABC 15’s Craig Fouhy checked in for his Fact or Fouhy segment. Craig thinks the cause for the Cardinals not having a running game is the offensive line and was disappointed that Arizona could not come away with a victory against the G-Men. Roc thinks this Suns team is bound to blow up and Fouhy feels the players on Phoenix are not fitting what Terry Porter is trying to build.

The guys wrapped up the weekend with their good, bad, and the ugly since last Friday’s show. Manuch’s good from the Cardinals was DRC, Roc was impressed with Pat White who rushed for 200 yards. R&M’s bad were Mike Shanahan, Matt Ware for his special teams penalties, the Rotten Apple Cup, Cardinals rushing game, and the Detroit Lions. The ugly included Notre Dame’s pathetic performance against the Syracuse Orange and Cal Poly missing three extra points and a FG against Wisconsin in a game Cal Poly could have won.

On this Manucci Monday, former NFL QB Dan Manucci broke down Eli Manning, Kurt Warner, Matt Cassel, Sam Bradford, and Terrelle Pryor.

HOUR 3

Cbssports.com College Football Writer Dennis Dodd checks in today instead of Thursday due to Thanksgiving. Dodd discussed some of the craziness that the BCS has brought us through the years and the confusion in the Big 12. Florida-Florida State, Auburn-Alabama, Oregon-Oregon State, and Oklahoma State-Oklahoma all have BCS or National Title implications, Dennis thinks there could be a couple upsets in these games. Following Notre Dame’s loss to Syracuse, Dodd is hearing rumblings surrounding Charlie Weis. If they get blown out by USC he sees ND getting rid of Weis or forcing him to make staff changes.

Roc and Manuch squared off on whether Larry Fitzgerald is a big time receiver. Roc thinks Fitz is one of the best in the league and will prove it in the big games when he gets the opportunity. Manuch argues that Larry comes up small in certain situations, specifically in the Giants game when he allowed a Giants defender to knock the ball out of his hands in the endzone.
