Monday 9/15 Edition of Roc and Manuch
“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”
Roc and Manuch started off the show with the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly from the weekend. The good, the Arizona Cardinals getting off to their first 2-0 start since 1991 and the bad the Arizona State Sun Devils getting upset by the Runnin Rebels.
Clifton Brown, Sportingnews.com NFL writer broke down Week 2 of the NFL Season. He told us about Brett Favre’s progression with the NY Jets, Matt Cassel’s first start with the New England Patriots, and the crazy Denver Broncos-San Diego Chargers game.
In the last segment of the first hour we heard sounds from around the NFL. We had Mike Shanahan discuss his decision going for 2, Norv Turner complain about Ed Hochuli’s non call, Matt Cassel on his first NFL start, Brett Favre saying the Jets are close, and Chad Johnson go off about his shoulder brace.
Craig Fouhy checked in for his Fact or Fouhy Segment. The guys talked about the Cards impressive win over the Dolphins, ASU disappointing loss, and the pathetic Arizona Diamondbacks.
East Valley Tribune columnist Scott Bordow joined McCabe and Manuch to go over the Arizona sports scene. Scott has high expectations for the Cards and thinks the Sun Devils loss was not as bad as U of A losing to New Mexico.
Breaking news in our third hour. Lute Olsen is under investigation for possible rule violations. More to come on this story tomorrow.
