Hello Friends,  Hope the weekend is treading you well.  I would like to say that this week has been especially special for myself and with out further adieu, I give you your weekly couple of coconuts.

Man Ram Painted Dodger Blue

Well I have not held back when It comes to my favorite Baseball team, and this week was HUGE for the boys in Dodger Blue.  Man Ram comes in and can pretty much catapult this team to the top of a very weak NL West.  The Backs should have ran away with this division about two months ago, but due to their two month hiccup the Dodgers are poised to take over in the West.  Manny alone will not win the title for LA, but the infectious atmosphere that he brings to the team will allow this uptight Dodger team to relax and play baseball the way that it should be played.

I believe that Manny has a good point of view when it comes to playing Baseball.  Baseball is supposed to be fun and when Manny is at his best he is having fun. Manny being Manny is actually beneficial because it refuses to allow his fellow players around him to become uptight.  He loosens up the rest of the players in the clubhouse and he can be much more that a great player, he can be a great teammate.  I think that the Dodgers move is perfect for him, because LA is a team that can actually give him the money he wants when he hits free agency at the end of the year.

Another side note.  I recently did some research and found out an interesting fact.  Manny is wearing number 99 on his dodger bill uniform, which happens to be the same number as Wayne Gretzky when he played in LA.  The reason why this is interesting: Gretzky was traded to the Kings almost 20 years to the day that Manny was announced a Dodger.

Preseason College Football Poll

Georgia is your number one ranked team in the first preseason poll, but what have they done to deserve the honor.  I personally do not like USC, but I do not see why they do not deserve to be the number one team.  Ohio State is going to be stacked and I think that they are going to be better than Georgia.  Again all of this could be me wishing that Georgia gets taken down a peg or two before they come into Tempe.
