Some hilarious new info on the ref who took out South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia on Saturday night. While everyone was making jokes about how the ref should become a linebacker, turns out he already was one. Wilbur Hackett Jr., the guilty party in the takedown, was a Parade All-American out of Louisville and a three-year starting linebacker at Kentucky from 1968-70, where he was the first African-American captain in SEC history.

But then again, this SEC official must have gone through the South Carolina education program…missteensouthcarolina
