Thursday 10/23 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Hour 1

Kevin McCabe filled in for Manuch.  Roc and McCabe were on for only two hours today due to the World Series Game 2 being carried by the FAN AM 1060.  We had breaking news that developed throughout the day.  Lute Olsen resigned as the University of Arizona head basketball coach.   Roc thinks it was unfair to the kids, but is sensitive to the situation because of Olsen’s health.  McCabe discussed Livengood’s and Lute’s relationship not being the best.

 

The voice of the Wildcats Brian Jeffries checked in with the guys to give the latest on the Lute Olsen situation.  He expects Mike Dunlap to be Lute’s successor who is well regarded in the college basketball community.

 

Hour 2

Charles Davis from the Big 10 Network, NFL Network, and Fox on BCS checked in to start the second hour.  They discussed how the BCS will play out and previewed the huge Penn State-Ohio State game that is on Saturday.

To finish off the show the guys continued to dive into the Lute Olsen situation and previewed Game 2 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies.
