HOUR 1

The Phillies-Rays Game 5 became the first World Series game in MLB history to get suspended. The game will start in the bottom of the sixth tied at 2.

Former Phoenix Suns player Paul Shirley checked in with Roc and Manuch. Shirley discussed long distance relationships, what are the parameters to have a man card in the NBA, and his autograph signing at Majerle’s.

The Suns take on the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow to open the 2008-09 season. The Spurs knocked Phoenix out of the playoffs in the first round last season.  Spurs TV PBP Announcer Bill Land previewed the game and told us how SA would adjust to playing without Ginobli.

 

HOUR 2

Phoenix Suns Head Coach Terry Porter called in from San Antonio. He told R&M what to expect from the Suns this season; Phoenix will still be able to run he just does not want them to push the ball on made baskets. Tomorrow Suns GM Steve Kerr will be on with Kevin McCabe at 10:05.

Wally Whitehurst, San Diego Padres Pitching Coach, and Arizona Fall League Coach caught up with Roc and Manuch for the Arizona Fall League segment. He does not treat his pitchers in the fall league any different than he does with the Padres.

HOUR 3 

Jamal Anderson had his weekly Jam Session presented by prospotfitness.com with R&M. He is a believer in the Tennessee Titans, thinks the Lions and Bengals are going to struggle to get win, and he could not believe what Fox sideline reporter Danyelle Sargent said to Mike Singletary. His entourage this week included Brian Westbrook, Joey Porter, and Joe Flacco.

Roc and Manuch both disagreed with how MLB handled the situation last night. Manuch thought the game should have been called much earlier. Roc thinks Bud Selig is embarrassing himself and is starting the website pleasefirebud.com
