Tuesday 11-4 Edition of Roc and Manuch
Your Drive Home Sports Alternative
Â
Â
The theme of today’s Roc and Manuch Show was the Presidential Election. Roc and Manuch were not afraid to give their views, as they were live at RIGHT Toyota.
Ian Eagle, the Nets play by play announcer for the YES Network checked in with the guys. Ian discussed the Nets new look roster, the team’s attempt to move to Brooklyn and their dreams for LeBron James.
R&M got into the Allen Iverson blockbuster trade. The main pieces were Chauncey Billups heading back to Denver and Allen Iverson going to the Pistons. Roc looked at the long-term ramifications of the trade. The move for the Pistons gives them cap flexibility in two years when Bosh, Wade, and LeBron are all free agents. Manuch thinks the Pistons had become stale and Iverson will give them life.
Â
HOUR 2
At halftime of Monday Night Football Barack Obama and John McCain were interviewed by Chris Berman, Berman asked if they could make one change in sports what would it be? Obama wants a playoff in College Football and McCain thinks the steroid issues needs to be dealt with. Roc wants all flag boys to be exiled. Some other ideas we heard were the elimination of the DH and force Division 1 football teams to play tougher non-conference schedules.
Hour 3
Â
Billy “White Shoes” Johnson joined the guys to promote the Celebration Legends presented by Chex Mix. “White Shoes” talked about his career, his touchdown celebration, and the improvement of the Atlanta Falcons.
