Wednesday’s Interviews on Roc and Manuch Thursday on Calling All Sports with Roc and Manuch
Nov 19

Wednesday’s 11-19 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

HOUR 1

According to Mike Florio of profootballtalk.com Edgerrin James asked to be released and the Cardinals said no. Roc and Manuch agree that this was the right move by the Cardinals. James is a good insurance policy for Hightower and Arrington. Glendale was not awarded a Final Four from the years 2012-2016. R&M think Glendale should have got it over Jerry Jones’ new stadium in North Texas.

The Sports Professor Rick Horrow checked in to update the guys on the Business Side of Sports. This week’s topics were Glendale not getting the Final Four, ESPN getting the rights to the BCS, and GM pulling out of Super Bowl advertising.

Fox Sports Arizona Brad Steinke caught up with R&M and discussed what Steve Nash might do after basketball, Shaq stirring things up, and the Suns are clearly a couple steps behind the Lakers right.

HOUR 2

To start the second hour Scott Howard-Cooper from the Sacramento Bee came on with Roc and Manuch to talk about his one on one interview with the Diesel. They hit on a variety of topics relating to Shaq, where he will finish his career, his relationship with Phil Jackson, and if he would ever except a back up role.

East Valley Tribune columnist Scott Bordow joined R&M. Adam Jones was reinstated about 10 minutes before Scott was on and he no longer gets worked up with knuckleheads getting numerous chances. If you are a talented athlete he accepts that they can get away with things normal people can’t. On the Diamondbacks Scott does not think Luis Gonzalez will end up in an Arizona Diamondbacks uniform. The Suns need to figure out a way to get Steve Nash more involved in the offense.

Phoenix Roadrunners Head Coach Brad Church stopped by with Roc and Manuch live at US Airways Center before their game against Bakersfield.

HOUR 3

Brian Davis, Dallas Cowboys beat writer for the Dallas Morning News gave R&M the latest on Adam Jones getting reinstated by the NFL. The Dallas media was surprised that Jones was reinstated and feels there is a perception that Jerry Jones has too much power. Jones broke the story at the announcement that his new stadium will be getting the Final Four a couple days before the NFL was going to make the decesion public. Davis thinks this could be a major distraction to a team that has finally moved on and had a really good win against the Redskins on Sunday Night.

On the heels of Adam Jones getting reinstated and the pathetic end to the University of Arizona game the guys looked back at some bonehead NFL plays headlined by the Joe Pisarcik miscue.
