Wednesday 10-15 Edition of Roc and Manuch
Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

Everyone wanted to see the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Boston Red Sox in the World Series and it looks like were going to get the opposite. The Tampa Bay Rays and the Philadelphia Philles both lead their respective series three to one. Next Saturday night when Game three of the fall classic is going on Manuch would rather watch the Penn State-Ohio State college football game.
The NFL Owner’s meetings had a couple of very interesting topics including having NFL pre season games in the spring and increasing the amount of regular season games. Manuch does not have a problem with the idea as long as the players are able to properly prepare for the scrimmages. Roc thinks it would be a good decision and is really intrigued by the thought of a college like spring game.
To end the first hour FSN Arizona’s Brad Steinke made his weekly appearance. He talked about the possibility of Matt Barnes getting the nod over Grant Hill as the starting SF for the Phoenix Suns.
HOUR 2
Â
Sports Attorney/Sports Agent Bobby Barad joined Roc and Manuch. He discussed The Sporty’s, which is a DVD intended for kids to help them learn how to play baseball. He got the idea from his two sons. If you would like to purchase the DVD here is the website: http://www.thesportys.com/. It features the voice of Academy Award Winning Actor Michael Clark Duncan.
NFL Network College Football Analysis/Draft Expert Mike Mayock checked in. Unfortunately for Mike he was Manuch’s roommate when they played on the same team in the CFL. The guys discussed the changing dynamics of college football and the NFL Draft.
We had the first annual Roc and Manuch Presidential Debate. The moderator was Bryan “Hank” Gibberman. The clear-cut winner of the debate was Roc. Roc was clear, concise, and stuck to his points. Manuch, as said by the judge Flash was a “waffler.” Tom Brokaw also had to reprimand Manuch numerous times for going over the time limit. This was also a historic day on Roc and Manuch because Flash made his first on-air appearance.
Â
As we talked about earlier the Tampa Bay Rays are one game away from the World Series. Joe Girvan from Bright House Sports Network caught up with R&M. He told us how Joe Madden has pushed the right buttons all year, why Scott Kazmir is starting Game Five instead of Game Six, and how difficult it is for him as a Red Sox fans to deal with the Rays kicking his team’s butt.
