Wednesday 10-29 Edition of Roc and Manuch

Your Drive Home Sports Alternative

HOUR 1

Roc and Manuch started off the show previewing the end of Game 5 of the Fall Classic. Roc is planning his celebration for when the Phillies win the World Series.

Rick Horrow checked in for his weekly segment on the Business Side of Sports. Rick discussed Charles Barkley running for mayor, the NBA’s 80% renewal rate on season tickets, and how good he looked in a speedo.

Brad Steinke from FSN Arizona finished off the first hour previewing the Phoenix Suns 2008-09 Season. Brad thinks this Suns team could take some time to develop chemistry with their new coach. He also said Porter would not hesitate to bench players if they refuse to play both ends of the floor and the fans should show patience through a tough early season schedule.

HOUR 2

Steve Kerr joined Kevin McCabe and Friends earlier in the day. R&M played a couple sound bytes of Steve discussing the Suns being a balanced team, using an extended rotation, and the contributions that rookies Robin Lopez and Goran Dragic could make.

Lute Olsen is still in the headlines and Steve Rivera from the Tucson Citizen gave us the latest. He thinks the rumors with Bobby Knight have no substance.

Scott Bordow was our last guest of the shortened version of Roc and Manuch. Scott wrapped up the latest news in the Valley’s sports scene; Contract talks between Warner and the Cardinals will be very interesting…ASU will lose at Oregon State, Scott thinks something is going on behind the scenes and it will come out after the season…he still does not like the Shaq trade, the Suns window has been shut.
