Wednesday 8/20/2008 Edition of Roc and Manuch
“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”
Roc and Manuch wrapped up Tuesday’s sports action: Usain Bolt won the gold in the 200 meters, the United States Men’s basketball team took down Australia to advance to the semifinals, Anquan Boldin continued to voice his displeasure, and the Dbacks took a one game lead on the Dodgers.
Rick Horrow came on and discussed the business side of sports. He gave us his thoughts on the best agents in sports and the economic effect of the Olympics.
Brad Steinke from FSN AZ reviewed Adam Dunn’s first week as a Diamondback. The guys previewed tonight’s game that features Jake Peavy going up against Dan Haren.
Hour 2
To continue the preview of the Diamondbacks-Padres, San Diego manager Bud Black checked in from Chase Field. He talked about his career, the injury problems the Padres have had, and the departure of Greg Maddux.
Hour 3
Paola Boivin joined us to start Hour #3. The trio debated what is best for College Football to do with its post season. Roc, Manuch, and Paola all agree the BCS is not working.
Roc brainstormed his own College Football solution. He wants to make the regular season more exciting along with the post season. Manuch does not like that Roc doesn’t include the smaller conferences.
