Wednesday 9/10 Edition of Roc and Manuch
“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”
LeBron James was seen at the Dog Pound for the Cleveland Browns-Dallas Cowboys game. The dogs were barking at him for hanging out with TO and the Dallas Cowboys. Last year during the Yankees-Indians playoff series he was seen Jacobs Field, and yes I know its not called that anymore, with a New York Yankees hat on. Roc thinks LeBron is dissing the city of Cleveland and showing it no respect. Manuch doesn’t see a problem with James supporting the teams he likes. The callers gave their opinions and all of them agreed with Roc. I think LeBron is a front runner, the Yankees, Cowboys, and Bulls-come on.
Hour 2
Rick Horrow stopped by for the Business Side of Sports segment. The guys chatted about the naming rights of Jets/Giants Stadium, Chad Johnson/Ocho Cinco jersey, and the impact of Tom Brady’s injury on what he is worth.
Legendary Coach Don Haskins passed away earlier in the week. R&M were joined by Willie Worsley who was apart of the first all African American starting lineup in the 1966 National Championship game. Worsley and Texas Western upset Adolph Rupp and the University of Kentucky to become champions. Willie talked about Coach Haskins legacy and what that special 1966 season meant to him.
The Diamondbacks dropped their sixth straight game, getting swept by the Dodgers and the Giants. For the second straight game they lost in the bottom of 9th inning after tying it in the top. FSN Arizona’s Brad Steinke broke down the slumping Diamondbacks.
