Wednesday 9/3 Edition of Roc and Manuch
“Your Drive Home Sports Alternative”
Started the show off with a little NFL talk, concentrating on your Arizona Cardinals. They open up week 1 at the site of last year’s week 1 debacle, San Francisco. Roc and Manuch both think this is the Cards best chance to make the playoffs since 1998. Roc thinks the Cardinals keeping their discipline and not committing stupid penalties is a key to the season.
Rick Horrow joined R&M live from the US Open to talk about the business side of sports. He discussed the new Giants/Jets stadium that will be up next year and the amount of money that the US Open Tennis tournament brings in.
Hour 2
Ralph Vacchiano who wrote Eli Manning-The Making of a Quarterback and New York Giants beat writer checked in. He gave us some very interesting insight on the career of Eli Manning, the Giants magical ride to the Super Bowl, and previewed the G-men’s upcoming season.
Next up was Roc and Manuch’s predictions for the 2008-2009 NFL Season. Here are the picks:

For their Super Bowl champions Manuch picked the San Diego Chargers and Roc selected the Dallas Cowboys. Out of a combined 12 selections they had 2 things that were different. That is a little bit scary.
In the third hour Roc made an excuse to leave early and Scott Bordow East Valley Tribune columnist went around the landscape of the Phoenix sports scene with Manuch.
